Frequently Asked Questions

What sets your company apart from others?
Me!! As a seasoned DJ, I have more experience, and provide more polished professionalism than any other in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Who are your Disc Jockeys?
Again, Me!! I have a seasoned personality and have an enormous amount of wedding entertainment experience. My skills are kept sharp by busy wedding schedules and by ongoing training and seminars.

Do I get to speak with my Disc Jockey?
Of course! I can either personally drive out to your house/location to go over the details of your event, or I can discuss them over the phone; whatever works best for you. I will then type up an itinerary for the event, which you approve first, and I will then coordinate all of the activities with your photographer, videographer, caterer, etc. I am available 7 days a week from 8AM-11PM at (410) 365-9710.

What will the DJ wear?
Either a suit or classic black tuxedo, unless you request otherwise.

I'm going to need a lot of guidance as I plan my wedding. Can you help?
One of the most important services I offer, which is part of hiring me, is the assistance I offer. I will help you carefully plan every detail of your "once in a lifetime" event and am available to talk 7 days a week from 8AM-11PM at the office number.

Will the DJ play my requests?
Absolutely. Contrary to the beliefs of some people, I KNOW it's your day. I will play the songs on the music list that you've created using our online interactive music database, and steer clear of those that you don't want.

What if I want to hear a song that's not on the playlist?
Beyond what you see in our music database, I have a master music library that contains more than 45,000 songs, virtually everything popular from the Big Band Era to today's Top 40. So, if you don't see a particular selection, call me, there's a good chance that it's in my library.

Do I have to pick all the music?
No. I believe that the best events are those where you have given me guidelines, and I then do what I do best.

What does the equipment look like?
You'll be happy to know that I believe in filling the room with sound, NOT equipment. My CD/Digital sound systems are attractive, compact and deliver high quality coverage. They include a wireless microphone for all of your announcements and toasts. You will not need to supply cables; all I need is an outlet. Plus, I take the time to hide all of the wires and cables out of sight.

How about the volume level?
There's nothing worse than having to yell over loud music. I am very conscience of people's sensitivity to noise. The speakers are placed above the ear-level of the guests and your DJ will continuously monitor the room and sound level.

Our cocktail hour is going to be in a separate room from the reception. Is that a problem?
No. I suggest that you opt for me to set up a second sound system, which allows for uninterrupted music as your guests mingle and enjoy hors d'oeuvres.

Do you provide music for the ceremony?
I often provide the ceremony music. Let me know if the ceremony is in the same area as the reception, or a different location. I'll handle it and be happy to share our ideas for processionals, recessionals and classical pieces.

Do you have back-up equipment?
Yes. I bring plenty of extra gear...just in case.

Do you put up any signs or banners?
Absolutely Not!

What if, due to an emergency, my DJ can't make it to the reception?
If I am medically and physically unable to attend, I will send our on-call DJ to your reception. I have a DJ on-call 365 days of the year, just in case. In the many years of providing entertainment, I have never missed an event.

Does the DJ require a meal?
Most per-meal charges are excessive; please do not feel compelled to include the DJ in the meal count, many times the DJs can "fend for themselves". You may wish to ask your caterer if "vendor meals" are provided.

Is it appropriate to tip the DJ?
If you feel I have delivered exceptional service, a tip will be appreciated.

What if, at the reception, I want the DJ to play beyond the contracted time?
This happens more than you think, and it is no problem! I would rather stay and party than go home. Simply authorize me to stay as long as you want. Overtime charges will be found on your contract that you sign.
